Picking Up The Pieces Of Monday [Feb. 21st, 2011|08:38 am]
Warren Ellis

The screenwriters of RED, Jon and Erich Hoeber, have a new comics series launching this week.

It’s called THE MISSION, and there’s an interview with them about it over here. The solicitation text reads: “Paul, an average working guy, finds his life upended when he’s approached by a mysterious figure who tells him he’s been chosen for a mission in the battle between good and evil-the mission is murder. Is it real or is Paul losing his mind?” I wish them all the luck in the world.

Steve Aylett just sent me this link: a DODGEM LOGIC event in London, conducted by Alan Moore and featuring Aylett himself, Melinda Gebbie, Kev O’Neill and various others. May 4.

Congrats to Tom Armitage and Matt Brown of BERG on their new gigs, with Hide & Seek Games and Apple’s Human Interface Device Prototyping group respectively.

Which reminds me, we’ll have a little SVK news thing in the next day or two.

Today I am mostly scripting, dealing with email and drawing up a Big List for a Thing. Most of my stories don’t require a list, but this one is demanding a Big List. The Big List has entries for Current 93, Kenneth Grant, Carnacki, Nigel Kneale, TOPY, about a third of the things in Rob Young’s ELECTRIC EDEN, Delia Derbyshire, all the usual suspects…

Brandon Graham just moved his excellent blog from LJ to WordPress. Which, if nothing else, will make it easier to gank images off him.
