Oh, The Breeders - good call!
That first album was really rather strange, although the second one was too. I vividly remember buying the Cannonball digipak single from one of the now-vanished independent record shops in Huddersfield...
Mmmm...... sweet creamery Black Heart Procession.
Thank you for reminding me that though I am house/petsitting this weekend I have the power of iPod and thus may retain some measure of sanity.
Goldfrapp: Music to take K by.

oh damn, in my excitement i made the typo i hoped i never would. yes, its Von Sudenfed
I remember somewhere that you stated you always work with music going. Are you casually listening or do you use certain artists to evoke specific moods and tones? If it does directly influence, I'd be curious what the soundtracks to different pieces were.
very nice, great taste, less filling

Nice to see you're listening to Black Heart Procession!
as always, thanks for new music
Ahh, the Breeders. Those were rocky times! Tanya Donnelly left Throwing Muses, which was heartbreaking, but then she ended up in the Breeders, which left no room for mourning!
So when I suggested Kristin Hersh's new album to you last week I bet you scoffed and said "old news".
That's good to know.
Taking this four posts a day thing seriously huh?
Peter Blegvad! You save me from running around like a beheaded chicken in search for some music of his. Even though, I rather prefer to have him for another week as a teacher. He surely is the most intelligent man in cartooning.
Ok, I am digging the Goldfrapp. You are the second person to recommend them to me this weekend.
thank you; I haven't had a copy of "Fortunately Gone" in a while. unfamiliar with the other ones; listening now.
thanks for the mp3's Warren. Liked them. | |
